Chicken Fried Steak

 1-cup flour
Salt & Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. ground Beef
1-1/2 cups milk
1 egg lightly, beaten
Cracker crumbs
Oil for frying
3 bowls
In bowl one – Mix flour, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika.
(Set aside 3 tablespoons of flour mixture for gravy.)
In bowl two – add cracker crumbs.
In bowl three – combine 1/2-cup milk and egg.
Pat out ground beef into 4 patties and smash flat.
Place each patty into flour to cover both sides.
Then dip each patty into Milk/egg mixture.
Then place into cracker crumbs to cover both sides.
Place in hot oil in large skillet & lower to medium heat. Fry until golden brown on each side.
To Make Gravy:
Stir reserved flour mix into pan drippings. As soon as flour begins to brown, slowly add 1-cup milk, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat and stir until gravy is smooth and thickened. Add additional salt, pepper, to taste. Pour over steaks and serve.

    Yum, yum. I can’t wait to make this. Keep your fingers crossed for me on the gravy. I will let you know how this turns out for me.
